Our life as grandparents and the ECE field.

Our new grandbaby born Feb 28, 2012

It has been our grand pleasure and privilege to be awarded the life of becoming grandparents.  I have spent just about all my life investing in the lives of children starting at the young age of eight years old.  I was the young babysitter of our neighborhood full of latchkey children.  Many would say to my mother that one day my gift with children would bless many families and today I can say it's truly a gift from God!  So my classroom and teaching experience began in my bedroom behind closed doors as the adults danced, drank and celebrated back then for not one day or two but three days of this crazed culture.  I was left with a room full of children and it was either leaving them to destroy my room or create something productive to meet their needs and save my OCD mind from going into trauma.  I decided to make things happen and before long I've build a young resume of in home class room teaching.  Life went on and after my high school graduation I started a family and established a Family Home Day Care raising my four boys and taking on three different shifts of fourteen children ages infants - twelve years old. I ran this business for over twenty years then closed down in order to expand my experience under larger management.  At this young age as a mother and wife  I was also taking one class at a time in order to understand my own children.  Finally twenty one years later I achieved my B.S degree in child development and certifications in Infant massage, Parents as Teachers, B.A.B.Y. curriculum and my site supervisor permit by the Commission of Teacher Credentialing by the State of California Public Schools.  Today I am starting over again establishing a  private family day care educational place for children ages infants- five years my hope is to also provide a service to support family challenges in guiding their early learners. The name of our day care  is, " Nana's Playhouse," and for the family resources it is, "Treasure Chest for Families," here I will provide a variety of classes as follow:
